With Rags to Riches out for the year, who is your pick for the Breeder's Cup Distaff next month?

I am thinking it will be a trifecta of Ginger Punch, Lady Joanne, and Octave.

Update:

Oops, I forgot about Lear's Princess. I think she will be a factor also. I would play a superfecta of Ginger Punch, Lear's Princess, Lady Joanne, and Octave.

Had you asked me this question last month I'd unwaiveringly say Octave. But the recent races suggest that it's all Lear's Princess. Ginger Punch is certainly the most experienced but I think Lear's Princess can stand up to her. I'm gonna go Lear's Princess, Ginger Punch, Octave.

Lear's Princess and Lady Joanne. Octave hasn't really shown up in her last starts. She came in second in the Fitz Dixon Cotillion Handicap and third in the Alabama Stakes (beaten by Lear's Princess and Lady Joanne). Ginger Punch was awesome in her last start, too. Can't forget her! I think it will be Lady Joanne, Lear's Princess and Ginger Punch to the wire together!

If Nashoba's Key runs it should be her race.............Ginger Punch may or may not run depending on if the owners put up the money...........There's a lot of controversary surrounding that and whether or not she'll run is up in the air at this moment...........Octave in a trifecta might be good but she's no super horse and has a knack of not wanting to pass another horse as shown by her last race this weekend.......With Rags out and so much going on as to who will run it's too early to settle on any betting interest in this race..........CAT

I love Lear's Princess. I think she is just now coming into her own. Lady Joanne (pronounced Joanie) is also a formidable customer

Funny that a filly that more than likely could win isn't planning on running, Nashoba's Key.

Maybe with R2R not running, Carla Gaines might change her plans...

But even still, I also think that Balance deserves some consideration, especially if Nashoba's Key is in a different race.

Bear Now... have loved this horse since I first laid eyes on her. She's put of Tiznow so distance is not a problem. loved how she kicked Octave's butt...LOL!
