2/5=4/10 so,
3m-4/10 = 7/10
Add 4/10 to both sides to get the variable by itself.
3m=11/10
Divide both sides by 3.
m=11/30

I got 11/30.
This is because, you first add 2/5 to 7/10, and you end up with 3m=11/10.
Then you multiply both sides by 1/3, to get m on a side of the equal sign by itself. 11/10 times 1/3 is 11/30

m=2.9....I double checked it
2/5=2 divided by 5
7/10=7 divided by 10...SO step-by step its like this...
3m-2 (divided by) 5=7 (divided by) 10
3m-.4=7
m-.4=2.5
m=2.9
