Yes the question was asked in the most disrespectful manner. One must respect other faiths the same way as we respect ours. this is how we can have peace and respect from other faiths as well.

I believe these questions should not be asked. Or the same question could have been asked in a very polite manner and very wisely. The response would have been very friendly and knowledgeable.

    Bashir,

I too have left an answer on the question, and you are to be congratulated for the respect you showed to the questioner, in what was a disrespectfully asked questions.

Respect needs to be earned, but in your question the word 'accept' may have been better.

I know it is splitting hairs with the English language and no offence is intended.

    Dune

    Accept in this context.

  • We should be kind and caring about all people. We should respect what others believe. But I have a question for you, if all the religions believe something different, then how can they all be right?

Respect should be earned, not expected. I cannot respect people who believe in invisible sky daddy dictators who will punish those who do not obey.

Why should they be respected? They are cult members in an ancient and primitive cult. If they cannot respect themselves enough to use their brains and think logically for a change, why should i bother? And if they are doing to disrespect me for my beliefs, why should I give any to them in return?

It is his loss. Fasting will protect us from the punishment of the grave and intercede for us on the day of judgement.

Yep, we should respect what others believe. But some people don't see it that way. They feel that it's their way or no way. Ignore them!
