Your logic is actually "bass ackwards" to use the colloquialism.

The biggest cities and their residents consume a much lower amount of energy and resources on a percaptia basis than smaller communities in the suburbs or rural areas.

This is due to a much higher population density, as well as a utilization of public transportation.

New Yorkers, per capita, create less pollution and consume less resources than almost any other population group in the United States.

So while overall, the city may produce alot of pollution and consume alot of resources, the impact is divided among so many people that on a per person basis it is actually quite low.

A person living in an urban area, where they can walk to the store, bike to work, or take public transportation to visit friends, and who lives in an apartment in a multi unit building lives a much more efficient life than the person living in the suburbs who drives over a mile to get to anything and lives in a much larger dwelling.

Source(s): Austin Texas is one of the top ten greenest cities in the country. I would assume it's not all Democrats there? maybe environmentalism is a bypartisan issue afterall?

I was just wondering the other day how people in cities follow all the "global warming" tips that are spread all over the Internet. (yeah, I know they're silly.)

Things like hanging clothes on clothes lines instead of using the dryer. Don't most city people take their clothes to the Laundromat and either use the machines or pay a guy to do it for them? I've never seen clotheslines in a Laundromat or strung out across street. At least not in the US.

Just curious. It's funny when you think about it, but I'll get some thumbs down for being objective and thought provoking.

Source(s): Actually, since most reputable scientists agree that there's no proof humans cause climate change, it doesn't really matter anyway.

Sad to say, enough to propagate the global warming myth and cause the most air pollution. God Bless you.
