Where to buy a shark?
I want to get a shark for my tank. Not one that you need a permit for or a huge tank. Also none of those "fake sharks". I would want one that grows no bigger than 12". One last thing i want it to eat other fish like bait fish and not flakes.
I want it to have teeth

There are tons of sharks out there. There are freshwater and saltwater sharks. Depending on what you want, it might be best if you get some bala sharks and feed it some feeder guppies or something. Remember that Bala sharks are schooling fish so you wouldn't want to seperate it.
For food, you should also feed it some worm or any other live foods that can b easily acchived by them.

You should get what is called a bala shark. These can get to be a foot long, so be prepared. You can get them at petsmart, walmart, G&M, and most local stores that sell fish. Good luck and make sure that your tank is big enough before getting one, and also check to see if it will harm any of your other fish. You will however have a very hard time finding a shark at a store that eats bait fish. When it gets large enough it will eat other fish, but I really don't see why you want it to eat fish. Depending on the other fish in your tank, it may only feast on the dead ones.

Your probably out of luck there Matt.
If you wan't a REAL shark (that's what the question looks like to me) You ARE going to have to get a VERY large tank.
You are looking for a Carnivore.
They are saltwater and grow from 2 feet to 4 feet for HOME aquariums.
You would need AT LEAST a 500gal. tank and I would suggest even Larger.
Do you have room in your house for a tank this size???

Thats a shark tank in one of my LFS in Ottawa Canada
I believe??? it's 2000gal. and houses 2 sharks.

Its illegal to most sharks without a permit.
I believe you would be better off with a "fake" shark as you call them.
A real shark even one less then 11 inches will need alot more more then a normal person can provide.
(He is calling Bala & rainbows fake, he wants a real shark, like from the ocean)
its very unlikey you will be able to find a real shark, stick with a Bala or rainbow

I think you are out of luck here. There is really no saltwater shark that meets your criteria. Stick with the freshwater"sharks" and observe the saltwater variety at your local zoo or aquarium.

it depends on what kind of shark u want. u can bye a Bala or rainbow share at Petsmart or Petco. but more exotic sharks, say salt water sharks u need a high dollar shark breeder near yourself.
