    Sounds like you should check out the Blues.

    Maybe BB King.

    Led Zeppelin one and two has several great blues songs on them.

    But the best blues album I ever heard is Eric Clapton "From the Cradle"

    Hmm..... try the following songs.... Stitches and Burn by Fra Lippo Lippi, Blurry by Puddle of Mad, Only God Can Explain by Splendor, Closer I Get to You by Donny Hathaway, Forevermore by Side A, Kisapmata by Rivermaya, One Last Cry by forgot the artist... if you want a song that will really fit, then i should know the the story, or at least the feel of the story.... ;) i hope i'm able to give the song that suits your requirement.
