The State Of The Statae Of Michigan?
Does any one have a reasonable reason to SHUT DOWN our state government other than POLITICAL gain! Is a raise in TAXES The only Way? Is our states interest's or is it political party interest's. CAN OUR COUNTRY SURVIVE WITH THAT SORT OF LOGIC?????????????????

Well, the reasonable reason is that the state can't pay it's obligations until the budget gets passed. It is NOT reasonable that the politicians can't pass a budget though. There should be penalties for lawmakers if they can't exercise their responsibilities properly.

For the past decade Michigan has been going through this exact scenario over and over again. I am surprised its citizens keep electing the same ppl over and over again.
I happen to agree with you and it is only going to get worse as the state loses revenue as Delphi, GM and Ford continue to downsize... they basically are looking to the ppl to pick up the loss of revenue.
