Who is a hermit? Or who knows a hermit?

There is nothing wrong with being a hermit. I like to stay to myself.

There is a "hermit" that lives down the street from us. He has a 7ft fence with barbed-wire around his property. All of his windows are boarded up and there is dirt piled up the sides of the house. He has about 10 antennas on his roof and 2 guard dogs that run around. Nobody ever sees him except at night. I think he belongs to the tin-hat society.

A hermit is a type of solitary monk. Someone who took vows to live apart from others. This is much more common in the Eastern Orthodox Churches - in the Western Catholic tradition monks and nuns live "in community".

I'm a hermit, only because most people run when they see The Nolte coming. Is it the hair?

there was this hermit from our town who spent all his time in his car (that didn't run) reading newspapers (that he never threw away) and didn't have running water or electricity in his home. He had a tumor on his face and we were all petrified of him. He croaked and the town found out he was worth millions. weird guy.
