Nothing worse on the planet than a bad UTI. I went through bouts of ecoli strains. At first they wouldn't go away. I was being prescribed Generic Bactrim/Septra. They did further testing and found it was ecoli. They prescribed a stronger antibiotic such as Macrodantin. That worked like a charm. They always say that you should not wipe from back to front but from front to back. I know....ewww but that's where the germs come from that enter into the urinary tract. Good Luck!!

Usually a UTI is an ecoli bacteria. Antibiotics should have gotten rid of it. See a Dr., though in my experience they don't really do anything except prescribe antibiotics. Drink tons of water and avoid caffeine and alcohol for a few weeks. Take cranberry pills like candy. Avoid sex for a few weeks, too. Sex is what usually causes UTI's. When you begin again, always pee right afterwards to flush bacteria out of your system. Be careful, I get these all the time and they sometimes infect your kidneys.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

You need to go see a urologist. He can take a look inside your bladder and tell you what is going on. That is a long time to have an infection, you need to get it taken care of.

you might have interstitial cystitis, it causes regular bladder infections and leads to kidney infections too. it's when the wall of your bladder is missing the protective lining. if you don't pee regularly when you should you can tear your bladder it doesn't stretch the same and it gets infected. regular bladder infection antibiotics don't help, you need to see a urologist.
