How do i tell what type of RAM is installed in my computer?

    All those answers will tell you what you have in it. but I would suggest going to the pc manufacturer's website, to see what speed and amount will max it out. And trust Crucial's ram calculator at your own risk, it has burned me several times and I don't use it now.

    You don't need a website to find out how much RAM you have. You can do this very easily yourself.

    Go to the Start Menu and select Settings.

    Then go to Control Panel and open System.

    On the General tab, you will see the RAM at the bottom.

    This will also tell you other important information about your computer and it will not try to sell you anything (ha ha).

    Just look at the horns. Just kidding hit the start icon then my computer or my computer then the system properties bar on top.
