Do your tax dollars go to the Democratic National Committee?

Take for example California:

CA employs roughly 308,000 teachers who pay $200.00 / year to the NEA ($700.00 to the CTA – California union)

So $61,600,000 dollars of California taxes go directly to the national teachers union.

Of that over 2 million dollars was given to the DNC (less than 300,000 was given to the RNC) This does not include soft money.

And do you like the fact that your tax dollars provides all funds for the education unions – together the CTA and NEA receives about $277,200,000.00 from California tax payers every year. This money supports (directly or in soft money) mostly Democratic agendas such as:

No school vouchers http://www.nea.org/vouchers/index.html

Gay and lesbian issues education http://www.nea.org/schoolsafety/glbt.html

Socialized Medicine http://www.cta.org/issues/other/Health+Care+Issues...

other sources

Update 2:

How do your taxes go to "big oil"?

you can like it

And I don't hate anyone

D

Update 3:

Teachers have no say in where that money goes

I see that you all are socialists and like the redistribution of wealth

Update 4:

Actually Haleberton is not a top contributor

but exxon, bp, and chevron all give much higher contributions to the RNC than to the DNC

yet these are not tax dollars these donations come from public companies

Oh....now I know why you hate teachers, and unions, and anything that might benefit anyone not to your political views.

I always wondered about that since I don't recall any particularly flaming teachers, they seemed a rather tame and by-the-book bunch, without an excess of imagination.

Now I understand you hate them because they are Democrats, and you want to cut off funding.

OK then...you know what I like it.

    I like it very much.

    Does that disturb you?

I can't stand my taxes going to Agribusiness, or Big Oil and Energy. I guess that's life in these United State huh?

Its called corporate welfare, big companies get tax breaks for work they would do anyway, propery they own and accelerated depreciation on machinery, and they get subsidies they get those subsidies from us. We sell mining and forestry rights on the cheap and then the general population has to make up the loss. This isn't any great secret. I don't, in fact like school vouchers, I think it takes the best students out of the system and leaves the poorer students to flounder. And to mess up the results of standardized tests. Its the only time I know of where they think taking money away from a problem will help.

Since there are Gay and lesbian Republicans, its not a party issue.

True socialized medicine is something no one it touting. They are looking for subsidies for insurance so its affordable.

The insurance companies could do it now but they don't want to cut into their enormous profit margins, which have gone up every quarter for the last four years.

Just sour grapes on your part.

Teachers can give their money to whomever they want.

Or should they get your permission?

We don't object to the Hillbilly and Redneck Union of Hannity's America given to the GOP, do we?

Or I pay taxes which this government sends to Halliburton in a no bid contract. Halliburton make millions and return it to Republican campaign funds. So my tax dollars pay for republican candidates too!
