I saw that yesterday - they had been shipped from Kentucky going to a feed lot in Colorado. What you should be asking is why the drama over the horses but nobody gives a crap about what happened to the bulls? They are animals capable of feeling pain just as much as a horse is. People seem to be very selective when it comes to feeling sympathy for horses but don't have any compassion for bulls, cattle, sheep or pigs which I find very hypocritical.

Forgive me, but I think the point that Kayla was trying to make was exactly 1 yr apart, a double decker truck filled with animals overturned in St Louis. I didn't see her trying to make any distinction between the two, just the fact that the similarities and the timing was a little creepy....and I agree, it is a little creepy.

I am pro and con for the horse slaughter. Dont get me wrong...i own andI love horses but what is going to happen to all of the horses that have no where to go? I've seen a horse get hit by a car and trust me I rather have a horse have its neck slit then it suffer from being hit by a car and killing it and the passengers within. I think that slaughter houses need to work on there procedures though. Like this whole double decker thing just needs to go! Double deckers are not meant for horses and yeah their going to tip!

great answer lisa m! *applauds lisa m* we care soooo much about saving horses from horse slaughter when the reality is that in some cases cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and other live stock are being treated worse! but thats a different matter. yes i do agree that it is a tad creepy and very very sad. poor cows and horses:(
