Has anyone else noticed the decline in Verizon customer service, etc?

I mean as far as phones go, Verizon has some of the most popular, but has anyone else noticed the decline in customer service or friendliness towards customers (especailly the call center when you use the 1-800- number). Everything has gone down hill over the last few years. They are not even giving you the car chargers with your phone anymore!! You have to buy them separate now! Like they can't afford to include a car charger with the phone? Come on! When I call to ask about my bill (using the 1-800-number). I feel like I get the run around.

For example I called 3 times about the same question, 'cause the answer always sounded like a load of bull, and got three totally separate answers!! I had to drive clear to town to the Verizon Store to get an answer that sounded half intelligent! I just bought an LG EnV and I swear if I didn't love this phone (and if I hadn't already paid out the butt for it) I would cancel my contract and go to another company. Does anyone agree with me?

    It would have had to be good at some point to be able to decline.

    Yes. But if you have also noticed the wages for these workers have not went up either. Those in the customer service industry are usually the most underpaid and unappreciated. It is a fact that better pay and incentives defenitly affect an employees attitude and job performance. I dont use this as an excuse but I could see their point of view also.

    I just had the same problem,I returned a phone I purchased on 9/24,,had nothing but trouble,I was at Verizon every day,then called customer/service which treated me better than the store sales reps. Verizon is not what it used to be,They sold me a Motorola krazer,which I found out is getting phased out. Their c/s is terrible,they messed up my data,deleted my voice mail,they don't seem to care about the customer at all,I agree with you I returned everything and got a LG.coupe. It's not fancy but it has what I need.They weren't happy because they had to refund my money.

    Veriozon has always had shitty customer service. Every time I have called them I got the same piss poor attitude. One lady even asked me if I had a problem with her when I asked for her supervisor.
