    You're going from one extreme to another. The secret to investing success is to divide your investments for different needs and market allocation.

    For example. A savings account is a great place for funds you'll be spending soon. In addition it's the place to put your "emergency" cash into. Emergency cash is considered funds you'd need for at least 6 months... should you lose your income.

    I'm sure the Fidelity China Fund is rocking right now I(I've got a few China plays myself). China funds can double (or more) in a year. They can also lose more than 50% in a year.

    Because of the extreame volitility concerns I only have about 2% of my money in China stocks. I use what's called an "asset allocation".

    You can learn about Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds etc. in some good books on investing. It's worth the time to read at least a couple of books to understand the basics. Anything less takes you from investor to gambler (and, over time, you will lose).

    Your interest in investing is great. Don't hurt yourself with your new enthusiasm. Remeber the three biggest killers of investers are;

    Greed

    Fear

    Indecision

    The most important way to avoid these traps is with self education.

    Good luck.

    (Consider yourself warned)

    All the information you want you can find in the Fidelity website, or by telephoning Fidelity.

    I am not sure it is a good idea to invest in China now. Its stock market has had a tremendous rise and some people say it is due for a painful correction. So dip your toe in if you wish, but do not go over board.
