I use a damp rag (rung out well) and just wipe it clean, carpet cleaners leave spots, trust me I tried it yesterday and had to go back over it with the damp rag to get rid of the spots from the cleaner. Good luck. Now I'm trying to get the pee one of the boys that spent the nite left off it!!

I was told that a damp rag would clean it also But if it is very dirty I would rent a Rug Doctor and get the hand wand use a mild detergent and hot water to clean . I would rinse after cleaning with the cleaner to remove all soap residue , with clear water . Hope that this helps

  • First answer is the best. Get a microfiber cloth and water. If you have tough stains, use a high-grade carpet/ upholstery cleaner. Preferably an all natural, non-toxic. I prefer Primo Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner. You can find it on ebay.

you can clean a micro with water BUT you need to be very careful of water spots...brush lightly /back and forth/ try "folex" carpet cleaner...buy it at lowes or Home depot...This stuff rocks( will even clean silk) then blow or try a blow drier to stop it from having a water ring...good luck

I am not sure what will get them off, but do not sand anymore. You are ruining it. Try getting a paint that matches. Like you do for scratches of cars. Then re-glaze them. Or put on a layer of floor finish.

If worse comes to worse, have it upholstered it something easier to keep clean. Check your telephone's yellow pages for services.
