What is the temp like in Cancun in January?

i haven't been to cancun, but i'm going to cozumel next week so i'll let you know about the weather. but as far as going in jan. i think it will be warm enough to swim cause you're so much farther south than you are now, and that's where the sun moves to in the winter. plus the water temp will be warm. you probably would even get a tan!

I want to travel to Cancun, Mexico in January and I see the average weather is 75 degrees...but what does it feel like?? Is it warm enough to swim then???

If you can change January to February, March, April, May they are better weather months. I personally think December and January can be cool. Not cold. The ocean isn't heated so it will be tricky to swim. I like my water temp to be at least 75 degrees. I know, I'm a sissy.

If you can't change the month, go a little more south to Cozumel or the Riviera Maya area.

I go swimming in Cancun year round. The ocean is a bit chilly, but I can bear it. The pools are warm enough to swim. The weather is wonderful then....I always wear shorts and tank....while all the locals have on pants and jackets. It can get a bit chilly at night....like lightweight jacket....if it rains. I would bring a jacket and maybe a pair of jeans or slacks just to be safe, but I have never needed them. This past January was rather rainy and cooler than usual....I still wore my shorts day and night.

I live here in Cancun, and january is a good month because is not that hot compared to the summer where it can reach the 100 F.

January is 78 degrees in the day and 65 at night, the water stays about 78 degrees

I've been to Cancun twice. It is ALWAYS warm enough to swim. You will have a great time!

It's great very busy In January also By what I was told. i went in September (Hurricane season ) and the weather was great, Humid, but great because your on the beach.
