I am having horrible problems with mouth cankers?

for the past week I can't get rid of mouth cankers. I have them on the roof of my mouth as well as far back near my throat. the worst ones are towards the front of my tongue. certain foods make them worse. I take tylenol for the discomfit and over the counter liquid for the cankers. I also have been keeping Ice chips in m mouth. all this works temporarily. after everything wears off they're back.

Oh man... I feel sorry for you. I know how painful that is.

You should talk to your doctor about medication for herpes... it's a lifesaver!!!

One thing you can do to prevent the worsening of your canker sores is stop using toothpaste that cause them. If your toothpaste has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate you should stop using it. It is a harsh detergent that has shown to be related to an increased incidence of cander sores. The bad news is that almost all toothpastes contain this chemical.

The good news is there is an alternative. Therabreath toothgel does not have SLS, and also has aloe vera for better gum health. It does not only prevent canker sores, it eliminates bad breath as well. I've used it and I haven't had a single canker sore ever since I started using it. It's very gentle to your mouth.

I suggest you try it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Good luck and I hope this helps.

this sounds to me not like cankers (properly known as apthous ulcers) but more likely like oral herpes. Herpes lesions take around 2 weeks to heal and there isn't much you can do about them. They will tend to recurr over time, you may have the primary outbreak right now, or it may be that you had the primary outbreak earlier in life and this is a recurrance, either way they will tend to go away and then from time to time will return.

I'm not sure if it works, try peroxide.

Swish it with half water and half peroxide.

Though I have used it straight.

It tastes weird, kind of foamy.

    Don't swallow it.
