Any cheap safe hotels in the Bay area?

I would like to stay in the Berkly or Emeryville area

    Berkeley motel in San Pablo ave near University Ave for $59.

    The Berkley Holiday Inn Express is modern and clean with indoor pool, and includes breakfast. $120 per night which is really cheap when compared to other motels / hotels in the bay area.

    Warning don't pay with a Visa. This was the only place I paid for anything with my Visa and the number got passed around the bay area and charges made by someone who must have copied it from my registration. Visa security said the charges were made by manually entering the number only, no card swipes.

    Check out trip advisor - you can search hotels, and read reviews form others who have stayed there
