Not likely. I do not know your eletrical rates, but if you get some smaller cheaper night lights you will get the same illumination levels that you would from candles without the following problems.
1. Fire hazard.
2. Higher level of polution.
3. Soot from teh candles that will deposit around your home.
Night ligths can be as low as 1 or 2 watts at $0.10 per kwh, you will need to have the night light on 24 hrs a day for 41.667 days to 20.83 days (depending on 1 or 2 watts) before it cost even a dime.
How many candles would you go through in 20 days if you burned them 24 hours a day?

You don't need to sit every single with candle light, because saving electricity. You can buy energy saving light bulbs, they are good. I got some, not cheep, but it works. Also don't turn everywhere light on, don't let some type a stuff on standby, this cost so much money too. The Computers, TVs sucking energy.

Beeswax candles are only a few pennies particularly if you buy them from your local beekeeper. They smell wonderful, but are a fire risk. They last for ages too. Candles are best used in lanterns for safety reasons and remember not to leave kids or dogs alone in rooms with them. Blow them out if nobody is in the room.
Replace your light bulbs with energy saving ones, you need decent light to work with, to do handicrafts, reading, playing games etc. Use your candle lanterns, in late autumn and winter when you are staying in the one room, they smell fantastic and set a lovely relaxing mood. Add loads of soft blankets, light the wood burning stove, snuggle down with the children and talk about putting the world to rights. Candle light is very, very cosy on a cold winter's evening.

Well, it is significantly more dangerous. You're much better off using CFL or LED bulbs. They'll be cheaper than the candles, more effecient than normal bulbs, will help your eyes by providing more light and (most importantly) they won't burn your house down.
Don't think the candles are a good idea.

Using candles is infinitely more romantic; try a few candlelit nights with the one you love. You will most certainly enjoy the results.

Depends on the rate that you have with your power company, and what kind of bulbs you use. But over all you would actually be saving money if you used candle's at night, BUT just be careful not to burn your house down.

I think it would be best for the whole world if you just lived in a cave like a neanderthal. That way you could really reduce your carbon footprint and be less annoying to the rest of us who enjoy the modern world.
