If I had one day to do a hike in Yosemite NP, which one should I do? 7-10 miles, moderate to strenuous.?
I'm going to California in 2 weeks (mid-October), staying with my mom in Sacramento. Thinking about taking an overnight trip or long day trip or something...Don't have time to do much, but I'd love to get in a good hike and hear Yosemite is amazing...Which would you do if you could only do one?

if i could only do one, id do either the vernal/nevada falls trail or the four mile (really 4.8) trail fi they are still open. vernal and nevada falls is one of the most popular trails in the park and gives ya the oppertunity to hike up the side of two waterfalls and see the back of halfdome. the four mile trail starts on the valley floor and hikes straight up to glacier point. you can then hike back down or take a bus (fee based) to the trail head. it has some great views of the valley from most points on the trail
