How can I make text Vertical in Word 2003?

I thought there was a way to do it through format, but cannot find it. I want to print out a label for a binder and have the words be vertical like on a book's spine.

Thanks

Update:

I can see the Text Direction under format but it is inactive/grayed out.

I made the text box and then I could change the direction. Thanks!

Update 2:

I made the text box and then I could change the direction. Thanks!

Yes, it is through "format". Click on format again and look for "text direction".

    Word Binder Spine Template

create a Text Box - type your text inside the box

right click and select the vertical alignment

also ---select the box when done and you can select borders and select No borders...so there are no lines around the text.

    good luck :)
