besides the sun..... why is it your favorite, what are some interesting facts about this star?????
Actually i am an astronomer with the University of New Orleans, I am just curious to see what people like and why. epsilon lyrae ( "the double double") is a very beautiful star sytem..my favorite is vega though!!!!!

Vega, it's bright and beautiful and not to mention only 24.3 light years away!

Epsilon Lyrae
At first glance (say, in binoculars), it's a double. But when you point a telescope you can see that each of the "double" stars is itself a tight little pair. Neat.

I love Sirius the Dog Star. It is so pretty, with is spectrum of color it is so pretty!
