Introduce me to some new bands?

I'm tired of listening to the same 'ol stuff. Can anyone point me towards some awesome new or not-so-well-known bands? The harder, the better; but no Satan-worshipping death metal. Also, I'm not into pop, country, R&B, jazz, blues...
