    1. hang out with?

    2. give you personal lessons?

    3. sleep with(one time only)?

  • Is it safe to assume Morbid Angel's next album will start with the letter "I"?

I've been a fan of Morbid Angel for a while now, but just recently noticed that their albums names follow alphabetical order. Does anyone know what the name of their 2011 release will be? Any guesses?

    1989 - Altars of Madness

1991 - Blessed are the Sick

    1993 - Covenant

    1995 - Domination

1996 - Entangled in Chaos (ep)

1998 - Formulas Fatal to the Flesh

    2000 - Gateways to Annihilation

    2003 - Heretic

    2011 - ?

  • Metal fans - what albums are you looking forward to most in 2011?

Just a simple question, what albums are you looking forward to that are expected to be released this year, even if there isn't a set date yet?

BQ - I know this has already been asked a ton, but what were your favorite metal albums of 2010?

  • Death Metal Fans, most essential albums?

What five albums do you think every death metal fan should own? Preferably pure straight forward death metal as opposed to melo death, tech death, prog death, etc. unless you think they are just really really good/important to the genre. Absolutely no deathcore/metalcore, you will be thumbs downed.

You can give more than 5 if you wish.

  • Black Metal Fans, most essential albums?

What five or so albums do you think every black metal fan should own. Keep in mind this isn't necessarily your favorite bm albums, I'm asking for the most essential. Also this is for BLACK METAL ONLY for all you trollers out there.

Doesn't have to be just five.

  • Favorite Metal sub-genres and bands?

As most of you already know Metal is a very diverse genre with numerous sub-genres. So when reading previous questions about people naming their 10 favorite metal bands, 25 favorite, etc. I found it interesting that many of the answers included mainly bands from just one or two different sub-genres of Metal, so I thought I would mix it up a bit and ask this question again in a different way.

MQ1: Name your five favorite Metal sub-genres and some of your favorite bands from each sub-genre.

MQ2: Do the bands you just listed pretty much match up to your favorite Metal bands overall, or do most of your favorite Metal bands come from the same sub-genre?

BQ: What other music genres do you like, besides Metal?

  • Challenge for fans of American Metal Bands?

Can anyone name a metal band from every state? If not, then how many states can you think of that has at least one notable metal band. Obviously some states are really easy, such as California, Florida, New York, etc. but what about states like Wyoming, New Hampshire, the Dakotas? I doubt any one person will be able to name a band from every state but maybe if we all put our heads together we can think of one from each state.

MQ: Name as many state/band combos as you can, even if it's just one?

    Rules:

If you name a little known local band please provide a link of some sort to prove you didn't just make them up. If they are pretty well known(in other words I can find them on YouTube, Wikipedia, etc.) then no link is necessary.

The person who can name the most state/band combos gets best answer. If it is a tie then it will go to whoever answered first, have fun!

    I've recently started expanding my horizons a bit lately by listening to Metal bands outside the typical places(primarily North America and Europe). In particular I've started getting into the Asian Metal scene with bands such as these;

    Serpent(Japan)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9JPvT1grb4

    Gallhammer(Japan)

    Oathean(South Korea)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Hsoi8OVDU

    Sad Legend(South Korea)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivEFoYuqnfE

    Rudra(Singapore)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVvDOTxEb_Q

Anyway my question is do you know any good Asian metal bands?

BQ? Just out of curiousity, how would you rate the bands on my list?

BQ2? Do you know any metal bands from South America? Africa? or the Middle East? I already know of Krisiun and Sepultura from Brazil.

  • Thoughts on the band Dreaming Dead?

I just saw this band perform live the other day without knowing anything about them. Was actually there to see Nile and Krisiun mostly, but Dreaming Dead was a really awesome band that I had never heard of before, so I guess you could say I discovered them by accident. Just wanted to know if anyone else has heard or seen this band and if you like them or not?

    Midnightmares

    Perpetual Pretext

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96DgWRz8nmY

I actually saw them in Louisville, Ky on 2/13/10 but this was the most recent live footage I could find.

  • African Americans and Metal?

Ever notice that there are not very many African Americans who are into Metal? I am just curious as to what everyones theories are on this, why do you think this is so, and please explain? I would exspecially like to hear from African Americans on this subject.

Just the other day I went to a Metal concert(Nile, Immolation, Krisiun, Dreaming Dead, and Rose Funeral) to be specific. I invited one of my friends from work to go with me, who happens to be black, he has been getting into Metal a little bit recently. He thought about it, but in the end decided not to go, and his main reason is that he didn't want to be the only black guy there, and he is right he would have been.

So why is it that not very many African Americans are into Metal or really rock as a whole. I don't want any racist comments and I don't want answers that put down other peoples musical taste, they will recieve thumbs down and be reported. Intelligent answers only please.

BQ: How many Metal bands can you name that have African American band members?

  • Best Death Metal Bands?

I'm trying to get into some more Death Metal bands, so please give me some of your favorites as well as any songs/albums you'd recommend starting with. I'm generally into Melodic Death and Progressive Death Metal, but I'd like to get more into other sub-genres.

Here are a few I already like, you can name some that are similar or some that are different so it really doesn't matter.

    Opeth

    Death

    Amon Amarth

    Dark Tranquillity

    At the Gates

    Edge of Sanity

    Obituary

    Suffocation

    Arch Enemy

    Vader

    Eternal Tears of Sorrow

    Kalmah

    Bloodbath

I could go on and on but that gives you an idea.
