What is the difference between Dreft and any other sensitive or unscented detergent?
Is it just the price? Are we just buying the name?

I only used the dreft I got as gifts... I bought Target brand baby detergent for a few bottles, then went to ALL free and clear, which I still use 4.5 years later :)
when it's baby time for us again, I'll only use baby detergent if I get any as gifts... the ALL free and clear is great!

We use the more off brand detergent, Sun, which my husband found at Big Lots for only a couple of dollars. I also agree that with Dreft one is just buying the name. However, I've not used it, so cannot speak from personal experience. However, I've had enough experience with name brands and "generic" brands (some of which are made by name brand companies, I think) to go with generic pretty much before I would go with name brand. There are some generic/store brands that we like better than the name brand. (We will only buy Kroger brand organic ketchup over any other brand-- Conventional or organic. Actually, we no longer buy conventional. We will only buy Trader Joe's tortilla chips and granola bars over national brands. They're cheaper and healthier.
I digress.

The appliance tech said that Dreft clogs stuff up. So, I only used one box of that. I just use regular Tide (for front loaders).
I would just get what you normally buy unless you want/need something for sensitive skin. Then I would get any unscented kind you like.

I am glad that someone asked that question...I was wondering that myself...just haven't asked yet. I use dreft for my little girl that is 3 1/2 months old....it was given to me. I like it, but I am just about out of it and I was wondering if I had to buy more, or if I could just get something else. I guess my question is answered!

They don't sell Dreft where I live...
I use Sunlight Sensitive for baby laundry...I just found it got stains out pretty well. Any unscented/sensitive/baby detergent will do.
