Larry Craig's bid to overturn plea denied?

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

Is this the most merciful thing that could have been done as far as Republicans are concerned? I mean, now he can retire and the scandal can go away, right?

I'm glad it was denied. That plea proved that he's not very bright, even if he is innocent (which I doubt).

The scandal will never go away and this is something that not only the party will have to live with but so will he and his entire family. I feel sorry for his wife and family.

Yeah pfo trying to get your plea overturned and lying to the police officer during the interregation is a good example of republicans owning up to what they do.

Hypocrite Craig needs to go away.

Good, if he wasn't guilty he shouldn't have never pleaded gulity.

Pfo I must ask, if Larry Craig is owning up to what he did wrong, then why try to overturn the plea?

any bets on how long we will have to wait until the next scandal??? Actually, the next scandal will be the best thing that could happen to Larry Craig,.

Pfo - what am I missing here??? when did Craig own up to what he was doing in that bathroom stall???

Maybe some in Washington are finally going to get the message that they are not above the law. The judge was absolutely correct. This can go away generally and only be used as another example of GOP hypocrisy and how it seems to be running amok in their party this last decade or so.

I like to count the Rethuglican rats jumping from the Senate. Although the occasion, in the case of Demececi, isn't the usual corruption, I can't help celebrating their departure. Go for the supermajority!

I'm still waiting for everyone who smears the ACLU to kiss their butt and apologize, since ACLU went to bat legally for Sen Craig.

One less scum bag in congress. Yeh!

I also feel sorry for his family. I can't believe he made his poor wife stand beside him when he was lying about his arrest.

How encouraging. There still is some "law" left in the land.

To pfo: Hey, dude - I would hardly call Craig's trying to wrangle a LEGAL DO-OVER "owning up to" your mistakes.

    You people KILL me.
