petrol consumption?

I'm getting about 24 MPG from my Chrysler Neon it has a two litre engine and is automatic, is this a reasonable figure?

    your not likly to get it much better the best i have acheived with them is 32mpg thats after a large service with all new filters

    I am afraid it is for a Neon. MPG for size is a good indicator of the engineering expertise put into a vehicle. Various cars fail dismally to achieve their published economy figures in practice. The old Vauxhall diesels were terrible for this. A Merc C180 will give 37 average and over 40 on the motorway if driven properly. Higher figures than that are achieved by middle aged customers who obey the speed limits.

    the 2.0l LX 4 door (Manual) does 25 to the UK gallon

    And the 2.0l 4 door SE auto does 32 MPG, strange that the auto does better MPG than the manual..

    It's not a very fuel efficient car. So 24 seems about right for UK gallons.

    If that's US gallons though, you're doing very well.

    Seem's it should do better than that .I have a 3.0 in my Camry and i get 30.

    i have an 1800cc .it does 50mpg.these figures speak for themselves.mines is a manual.diesel.
