Pink and Green Appetizers?
My sister is getting married in the early spring and wants all the food to have some sort of pink and green in it or garnished with it. The food she wants is primarily finger food / appetizers, any ideas?

salmon, prawn cocktail, crabsticks etc..guacamole,asparagus,...the best thing would probably be to buy pink and green food colouring and put it in everything..but vary the ammount so not everything has the same depth of colour

Pink and green can be great colors, but if all the foods were that color, it wouldn't be a very appealing table. Hopefully your sister will consider making most of the pinks and greens garnish, or even better... the decor on the table. Like fresh flowers and leaves and ferns. Green ferns laying out across a table just gracefully placed here and there throughout the table, covered with a pale pink table cloth would look beautiful, and classy. Even throw in some pink roses. Sweetheart roses would be incredible and less expensive than the big ones. A few taller vases or even small sprays with pinks and greens would be a nice addition too. The the foods can be just about any finger foods. The table will be eye catching & elegant... AND so will the food.
Do a strawberry dip... something with creamcheese blended with strawberrie, or merichino cherries or even just the juice of the cherries, to go with some gourmet crackers (just plain ol' Ritz won't do for a wedding). Of course there are green peppers, cucumbers, and other veggies to go with a nice dip. But all greens wouldn't look nice.... you'd need to add some other colorful veggies. Avacado dip and a spinach dip are good choices for greens. That's a few foods with the colors your sister wants. I would think very few is best, with the focus on the quality of foods, and the elegant table decorations. It's all about presentation when putting out any kind of buffet. Good luck!

White sauces or dips can be turned pink with a little food coloring. Then they can be served just as a dip or drizzled on top of individual pieces. It could also be used to decorate the plates or trays things are served on.
You could also try slicing red fruits or veggies (strawberries, tomatoes,...) really thin so they appear pink. Then use them to decorate. Don't know how that'll work. Try using a meat slicer or something like that.
Pink salmon is always a good choice for a pink food.
Good luck.

Hmm, this is a tough one. There aren't that many foods that you can have with those colors! =) Some of the things on the top of my head?...
Watermelon slices (both colors are in it with the pink watermelon and the green peel)
Cucumber slices with something like a raw pink fish on top (kinda like sushi)
Rice crispy treats can be made pink with drops of red food coloring in the marshmallow while it is melting. Same thing if you want them green, just add green food coloring to the melted marshmallow.
Green apples, kiwis, green grapes, pink grapefruit, pink jello, and things like that can probably be used, as well. But all of these are sort of "dessert-ish" foods, haha. That's all I can really think of. Enjoy the wedding =)

crimson has never been an appetizing shade. there are of direction crimson grapefruits, uncommon steak, shrimp, and crimson angel meals cake. A recipe may be extra of a few meal or putting at the same time a cake of kinds, even though it fairly is not in any respect a crimson meals concept recipe. Angel meals cake must be colored with cherry juice and cherries which makes it kinda crimson yet a minimum of it fairly is appetizing for Valentines.

For pink you can use salmon (lox) slices with crakers, mini bagels with strawberry cream cheese or just use pink roses as garnish.
For green: there are lots you can do. Avacado, parsley as garnish. Fruit kabobs with green apple and honeydew melon.
Just be creative, it will turn out.
