Baseball Post Season Playoffs?
Divisional winners plus 1 Wild card. My question is instead of each league having 3 divisions, with the first place team going to post season, plus the one wild card team. What do you think about this. Have the 2 leagues (American and National) but only 1 division in each and just have the top 4 teams in each league make the playoffs

I think it would make the regular season much more boring. By separating the teams into divisions, their are six pennant races, and one wild card. It allows for more teams to be in the playoff mix for longer. Also, scheduling would be much more difficult under the system you proposed. It would be hard to guarantee an equal of number of games with each team in your league, and interlague play, a moneymaker for MLB, would most likely have to be eliminated.
