The MUST DO thing in Malaysia is eat... yes eat... we have lotsa food and you must try them.
Must see places... petronas twin towers, Penang, if you like historical buildings then you must also visit the state of Malacca.
Malls... we have many including Suria KLCC, Mid valley Megamall, 1 Utama... these you must visit..... you can also shop at central market or petaling street for local or traditional stuff.
You can get to these places by LRT located within walking distance from PJ Hilton...

I love Malaysia and KL is supperb!
You should have a day in Malacca -baba nyonia capital- with a mixture of mostly chinese population. Stay there in the Rennaissance Hotel wich is in the town and not in the new area of Malacca. Eat in every food court and enjoy your food of fresh crabs, chicken in peppercorn sauce, shrips and of course the national dish nasi gorent ayam (fried rice with chicken) Dont miss from bakeries the fresh cream tartes called Portuguese tartes. Malacca is only an hour away from KL and a cab (try a bit of bargain) will take you there very cheap.Dont miss visiting the Hindu temple there!
KL ! Wow!!!!! Ok you should visit the Batu caves, almost in KL where the annual Hindy ceremony Tai pu sam takes place_even in India this is no longer allowed-.
Hilton is wonderfull there on a hill but not in the Golden Triangle as they call the area of shopping.A cab as i said is always there called from the hotel and can take you down town. KLCC is the shopping temple for ladies anywhere in the world! (OK men as well...) If you go with your husbant you can leave hin on the outside of the mall where many gorgeous cafes -and starbucks too- are so he can have a fag and leave you to explore the lot, Parkson's is on the level ground and has got EVERYTHING!! Another big one-not so posh though- is the Plaza mall, and a bit further down the road you find Flanaggan's Irish pub!! For the best replica bags and watches go to Jalan Petaling and bargain , really hard. Good quality bags should be about 10-15 usd Eat around that area for the night. Last but not least, visit Masjit India, and get wonderfull silk saree material, real indian bits for your curries and pashminas around 10 usd. Eat at Gardenia or camelia (they all know wich one it is if you ask) hotel, the best indian food and they also serve beer.
I am so jealous of you!!!!
Enjoy!!!

PJ Hilton? gosh dat place is always so jammed and chaotic but I think the Asia Jaya LRT station is nearby so at least it's easier to get to downtown KL... from there, u can go to the Pavilion for shopping, it's a new mall on Bintang Walk and has awesome brands, plus chic eateries... or you can check out local designers at Starhill Gallery (like Bernard Chandran's store).
You may want to visit Putrajaya, the new administrative center of Malaysia. It's actually near the KL Airport so maybe you'd wanna go there on the last day before heading back to the airport. It's got super gorgeous architectural gems that make you feel like ur walkin around in a futuristic city. Da kool part is how they infuse traditional designs to look so modern. There's also a nice lake cruise called Dondang Sayang, with someone serenading you with romantic traditional Malay songs.
You could also go to Kuala Selangor to see fireflies shimmering against the dark sky. It's absolutely gorgeous!
Being in Malaysia, you should know that our life basically revolves around food so you have got to try our astounding array of dishes. You may want to sample our famous nasi lemak and teh tarik, which is literally a heart attack served on a plate hehe :P

Wow constantia, as a Malaysian i'm sure embarrased with your knowledge. Anyway, if you know anyone from Malaysia, get them to take you to one of our many secret waterfall. They're nice and amazingly not many foreigner know about them. I for sure love to swim around waterfall. Also, ask for any hot springs. I'm not sure where are you from but maybe you'll enjoy these unless you got tonnes of them back home.
