If it takes a car 32mins to travel someplace 16miles away on relativly flat ground with minor hills, how long would it take the average biker approxamately?

16 miles with normal traffic plan on 1hr.

(based on an average speed of 16mph, 20mph top speed with a few stops at intersections)

A biker traveling at a slow average pace of 10 mph he/she should arrive in 1.6 hrs. If the biker is able to average 12 mph he/she should arrive in 1.3333 hrs. With relatively flat ground and assuming a very fit biker, he/she should be able to average at least 13 - 14 mph which would result in 1.185 hrs.

an hour would give you about 10 miles at a comfortable pace of 10 miles an hour. another 30 min at the same pace would give you about 15-16 miles

so about an hour and a half with time to take a few drinks of water in between.

i could prob do it in about 45-50+/- min depending on traffic, road conditions and mood. thats on a road bike with slicks. mtb/hybrid times will be slower
