i assume you are running windows xp, and your KRZR is a CDMA phone (Verizon, Sprint, ...).

if windows doesn't recognize the phone as a mass storage device after you plug it in, there is a program called BitPim out there (freeware) that you can use to connect sometimes. it usually is setup to work over Bluetooth, not USB, but if you read the help a little about connections, there is a way to set it up for USB connections.

it has a pretty simple interface, even if it is a little slow. I use it a lot, and it works great for me. transfers call logs, sms, pictures, videos, music, ringtones, ....

or, check the motorola website and see. i think there is a forum there, and surely someone has an answer.

you can just usually plug in the cellphone through usb and the pc will recognize the phone as a mass storage system. much like a flash drive. some phones will have an option to install and you must use the cd software from your phone's manufacturers but you can still transmit data without installing.
