cheap last minute flights and flying with kids.?

i am trying to leave san antonio texas to go to washington, dc. i will be traveling with a 1 year old and an infant. does anybody know where i can find a cheap or decent price? do i have to pay for the infant also? what do i need to bring? i am fairly new to this.

what can or can't i bring along? what should i expect? i haven't been on a plane since i was 7 years old and i know things have changed since 9/11. i would like to be prepared ahead of time.

thanks.

Well, you should visit one of those travel sites like expedia, or travelocity.com or something like that. You can usually find a descent deal.

Since it's last minute, you'll probably pay a good penny as prices tend to rise just before the day of the flight.

You cannot bring liquids and gels in your carry on that are more than 3.4 ounces. The ones you do bring on board needs to be in a quart size ziploc bag. For your infant, the child can sit in your lap. Just make sure you input that you are taveling with an infant when you purchase your ticket.

You can take your stroller all the way to the gate area. Just before you get on the plane, they will put a "gate claim" tag on the stroller. You can pick it up by the plane when you reach DC.

When you check in, all you need is a photo ID. They'll be able to pull up your reservation number just by your last name.

Oh by the way, infants fly for free. You can also put your baby formulas and stuff in your carry on. I recommend bringing something to keep the child quiet and occupied while in the air.

Finally, visit http://www.tsa.gov/ to find out the latest in what you can bring and cannot bring on board your flight.

purchase as early as possible. Manchester to Vancouver isn't an particularly aggressive direction, and it is totally not likely that they are going to be dumping much less costly tickets on the final minute. the whole final minute commute element is puffed up. it is often leftover programs to holiday spots you will not have long gone to if it weren't so much less costly. The places you certainly prefer to circulate are not so much less costly.
