I don't think the other answerers know that you (like me) live in Canada. As far as I know, all of the markets in Canada should be closed for Canadian Thanksgiving.

According to a TSX press release...

"Both Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, October 8. Both exchanges will re-open for business on Tuesday, October 9, 2007."

    'Hope this helps, eh?

Gee, I'm going to court tomorrow. They told us to be in tomorrow, so I suppose they will be open.. otherwise I'll be mad that I made the fairly long trip. It's a state court. With what I consider the stupidity of the case and the way the system has jerked us around, I wouldn't be too surprised if it was a bad date on the letter.

(It's Columbus Day in the US)

U.S. Markets will be open for trading, BUT it is not a settlement day, since the banks are closed.
