What did you think when you watched Travis Johnson talk trash to Trent Green while he was laying unconscious?
I thought that was pretty messed up the guy could have been killed for all he knew and he didn't care.
Bobby W. : Yeah i played football, and i know how intense it can get but I never let my emotions get the best of me like this guy did seriously i think he needs to be tested for steroids. like the comment under you he kept talking even after the game... I can careless what level of football you play there is no excuse for actions like that.

that Johnson was the biggest ***** (female dog), in football. Guy gets pissed cause a guy one third his size does a legal tackle. Think he needs to have his butt kicked. Dudes a total chump. (these Tackles dance all over the place afetr they light up somebody...give em concussions, blown acls broken ribs...then has the nerve to get pissed when a little guy hits him?)
*Plus if the guy was wearing knee braces...like most smart O and D-lineman...it wouldn't matter. Theres a reason most of the guys with an IQ above 50 wear them. (hell I wore them.....only took getting my kneecap dislocated onetime to convince me of their value)
*Crazt Dave...didnt know he was hurt that bad...the guy was laying limp. knocked out! How do you not notice that....we could tell he was jacked up on the T.V., and this guy was standing right over him. Dude that makes no sense.
*Bobby W...wow dude. People like you make me ashamed to be a player. (even a former one). there are players like you describe...and most of the rest of us avoid them because they are little more than rabid dogs. You see people like Ray Lewis, or John Lynch, two of the herdest hitters in the game, and while they will never pull a punch, they dont delight in ruining someones career. I hope they dont let you aroud children and small animals with that attitude. The only players I ever delighted in lighting up were the ones like you describe yourself to be. And as a DT/Linebacker (played both)...that was my job.
And to those crying about a cheap hit....if it ain't illegal, it aint cheap. Horsecollar tackles are illegal. I was always taught to go low....low= leverage......which always win.

Saying that Trent Green was trying to end the career of Travis Johnson makes about as much sense as your name claiming that the Democrats are moderate. He's a QB, he was trying to just get in the way of Johnson and messed up and paid the price for it. The last time most NFL QB's have thrown a real block was back in pee wee football. And politically if we had more moderates it would be much better in Congress, sad thing is, there are few on either side of the aisle. Oh and you played both ways in college football? Interesting...

I was at the game and Green completely went low for a low cut at Johnson's knees. I feel sorry for Green because he should be fined for what he did and it is about time he left the team. Johnson reacted to a cheap shot at the knees that could have been career ending for Johnson. All in all, Green hurt himself by tripping Johnson and forcing him to fall on his head. And for the record, Green was just unconscious, which is quite common in his career. It was a classless move on Green's part and standing over him by Johnson was a reaction any player would have if they were hurt by a potentially career ending move. Besides, do you know what he said to him? He apologized following and if anyone should be fined, it should be Green. Green needs to leave the NFL while he still has a chance to actually spend time with his family because soon he won't be speaking anymore. The media is playing this up because they have nothing better to do.

the whole thing was unfortunate and I do believe Travis Johnson should get fined for talking trash to a football player, regardless if it was unconscious or not. I still remember in week 3 the Bills´ WR getting 2 flags in 2 consecutive plays, 1 for talking trash to the referee...
Also, I do think Green was trying to block and also protect himself when he saw that it was a 300+ pounder who was on his way, unfortunately, it did hit him on the helmet with his knee.
And BTW, it could have been worse than it appeared at first for Green but also for Johnson, have you seen the replay in slow motion? if Johnson falls on his head, that should have been another serious injury right there. I bet that when he realized he was fine, he got up and started talking trash to Green whom at point of time, laid there unconsciously.
I do also think that Travis made the correct action by apologizing after all that but I do think the NFL should also fine him for it and review if Green also deserves one on his own.
That play should be play for young kids on what NOT TO do to block a O or DLineman (or anybody) and how NOT to react after a play...

I'm actually more surprised about the comments after the game, than after the block. I understand Johnson was livid about the chop block. It can cost someone his career, but after the first taunt.... Doesn't Johnson realized Green is not moving? He's not responding to your yelling.
Then in the post-game, he's still talking about the chop block. He should have been more concerned about Green's condition and apologize for his spontaneous behavior, and then mention how dangerous the chop block is. Not call Green names ("scarecrow") and start saying that you have to feed yourself.
It just makes Johnson sound like a money-grubbing athlete and you get zero public sympathy (and a lot of media criticism = He's already NBC's The Worst Person in the NFL this week). He has to do a better job, like saying: "I love playing in the NFL, and I feel the block could have jeopardized my playing career."

You have to remember that these guys are PUMPED up when playing the game. Trent Green never should have thrown that block. They both could have been seriously injured. Maybe Travis Johnson should not have reacted the way he did, but he was hit low and he simply reacted. Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill!

green deserved to been yelled at because it was a cheap shot.was it a legal block?maybe, but if a defensive player hits a qb like that he gets a flag and a big fine so why should it be ok for a qb to hit a defensive player below the knees?green was motionless on the ground because he was knocked out but ive seen guys lay on the ground after having wing knocked out of them.im sure johnson didnt know how bad green was injured but johnson landed on his head so not only could his knees have been destroyed but his neck and head as well.would you be mad at green if it was you?
you said johnson didnt care but it was green who didnt care, not only for johnson's health but for his own, so green is the one who is messed up.

Travis Johnson was mad that the QB got the best of him. He didn't know Trent Green was hurt. That kind of block happens every SAT & SUN. QB's chop block so they don't get ran over there's nothing dirty about that. I thought it was great until Green didn't get up.

Hey there buddy did you ever play ball?
Anyway, Travis probably didnt even know he was unconscious
and honestly bro, when a player hits somebody and they go down hard the first instinct isnt "Oh its a concussion" i should be nice.... Even when a player gets hurt nowadays players will talk trash like its an accomplishment there is no harm in talking trash to hurt players only if they are severly hurt hence kevin everette .
i been playin for six years and im in college playin right now and I have got plenty pf props from teamates when I take a player out of the game . Calm down its wusses like you that turn this game into paddycake

I am sure he did not know the extent of Trents injuries at the time. He make an apology for what he said later on. Had he not done that, he would have been hemmed up by the NFL.
