A better solution for a dry socket is to use Oil of Cloves and soak some cotton pellets in it and put them in the socket.

You will need and antibiotic to make sure it doesn't get worse and a good pain reliever. When I had a dry socket I took empirin with codeine but anything that reduces inflammation will help. Oil of cloves can help with the pain too but use it sparingly.

I put tea bags on the dry socket and the tanic acid helped draw everything up and eased the pain. I wet them first before putting them in.

Your FIL should see his dentist ASAP. The dentist will place a special medicament into the socket and prescribe appropriate meds. Don't use at home remedies for something that a dentist should diagnose and treat.

You need to heal the tissue, not just try to treat the symptom of dry socket. I suggest you go to the following web site and order "NEEM OIL." This will heal the area very fast. Additionally, I would purchase "NUCLEOTIDES" to speed the process by kicking the immune system into high gear.
These can be purchased from a company that I know to be very high quality at: www.healthline.cc (not .com) or call: (310) 320 - 1123 and order the products.
You will be amazed at how fast he will heal.
good luck to you

Your supposed to go back to the place where you got your wisdom teeth removed and they will give you antibiotics and some other stuff to take care of it.

go back to the dentist they will put something in it for you. also he should have gotten pain meds after the surgery and those should also help.
