Why do criminals get sentenced to 2 life sentences??

People are sentenced for each crime separately, sometimes, and although 2 life sentences may be served concurrently, and you may live free in some time, it makes your incarceration somewhat more permanent. Also, when considering you for parole, it is less likely that you will go free if you have 2 life sentences, because in some states you will be given parole, then taken back in for the second prison term, thus it is more efficient to keep you there.

The 2 life sentences refers to the number of crimes that the accused was found guilty of. However, a life sentence doesn't mean that a prisoner has to serve it his whole lifetime though it may seem that way. Life sentence usually lasts between 30-40 years. If after that period the prisoner is still alive, he will be released or even earlier than that if he qualifies for pardon.

If the prisoner gets paroled during the second life sentence, when he is 168 years old, and has been dead for 85 years, he isn't much danger. They really want to send the message this person is never to walk the streets again, so long as he lives.

Why do criminals get sentenced to 2 life sentences?

Because it shows as clearly how brainwashed, ridicules and illogical the Human Word has become out of egoisms!

I believe all noon criminal honest person and victims of criminal acts will always ask these questions!

I answered ones a question saying when anything look strange & become illogical just relate everything to the biggest evil many, many so called Humans have “money, greediness & egoistic profit making one way ore the other”!

Look at the ones who create these laws!

Look at the ones who own the jails and profit from it!

Look at the ones they call them Politicians = ????? !

Look at the ones they call them Corrupters and the world if full of them!

Look at the ones make a profit when they make some small wars!

One more answer "EXCUSE" could be this; in a way the person did get death penalty in the long run, and the so called civilized people believe to clean evil by using death penalty would put them in the same category as the criminal! (I give this EXCUSE = Politics the lowest score of all!)

Here is one answer which is the reality in Indonesia right now! Its all about money and egoisms! They have death penalty in the law for corruption but never use it and just always give jail terms! I ask my self why they don’t use the death penalty for the cases where it would 100% apply to!

The answer I give my self just comes logically!

How any Judge sociologically could give someone a rightful disserved death penalty if the Judge is really looking into his own mirror and knows he is a corrupter him self! (Could this be related to the so called civilized world?)

The person which is asking the question will end up getting to the same stage as all Honest and logical people there is no law ore justness in this world when it comes to money = evil! But too many are blinded and regard money to be God and the law!

What will be the future is clear; are mothers and fathers sitting in positions & create all this illogical things don’t even worry about there children’s future!

Even so I keep away from the Religions brainwashing organisation; I do start to respect some parts written the Old Testament (Ex. 21:23, 24;)!

Who was the one not transferring this into the New Testament?

Could it be that at the time the first materialistic profit-seeking manipulator was born and changed the original Testament to protect him self from logical judgement?

People are often sentenced for the crimes that they are convicted of separately. Also, their is less risk of a bad guy getting out due to an overturned conviction if there are other convictions that would and should keep them behind bars.

no its cuz u can get parole with a life sentence-like in my state of texas if u got life-7 years later u get a parole hearing-not saying they will make parole-but its more difficult when u got two cases-therefore two life sentences-what u wanna be a prosecuting attorney or something?

It's just a way of sticking it to them. It's not like they're going to keep them in the cell after they die. It's just to pound it in that they will never be a free citizen again.

Maybe it's to insure that people don't get parole and don't get let out on the streets. That's what I've always thought, anyway.
