Lawsons Cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana) can grow to 200 feet given the chance.
Are you planning to use this for hedging? If you are do you live in the suburbs?
Before planting a hedge of these check carefully which cultivar you are buying and the ultimate height and spread of that particular one and that will determine the spacing required.
If you do want an evergreen hedge then go for a yew hedge every time (unless you are adjacent to fields with livestock). It really is not as slow growing as it's reputation. Providing you have prepared the soil very well you should have a good hedge within five years. It is also much easier to manage than other conifer trees.

There are much better things to plant, rather than these foreign invaders, try our native yew
Source(s): Monthly Gardening Help I am a professional horticulturist, organic head gardener who works along with nature and in the past 40+ years I was a head gardener in the south of England, in charge of a Southern University Nursery, a head gardener on two private estates in the midlands. Since having a back problem and a brain injury, I have lost my ability to concentrate so full time work is impossible and plant names sometimes go amiss. I do a few hours gardening a month just to keep my hand in. The gardening tips are free but not the manual work. - Anonymous1 decade ago
these grow to about 8ft (but some can be larger)
Plant about 24in apart.
You will need to trim twice a year but don't cut into any old (brown) as it won't grow back. and look shabby
