Typically, lines are a sign that some sort of pressure was applied to the screen. It really doesn't take much to damage an LCD screen. In this case, the screen would have to be replaced.

There are a few companies that can help you:

    http://www.screentekinc.com/

    search http://www.ebay.com/

or if you can, get the part number off the back of the screen. If you know how to get the screen out, it's the best way to make sure the new screen you buy is compatible with your model.

Or, you can simply use the same screen and deal with the lines. If you have any other questions, you can email me.

Usually this means the display is going bad and needs to be replaced. Is it still under warranty? If so, I would call and get it fixed. If not you'll most likely need to take it to a computer shop to get the display replaced.
