I think you're obsessing over the have to part of it too much but I think what he was trying to say since he likened the experience to a test drive, is that he wants to know if you two are sexually compatible before getting into a serious relationship. It sounds like sex is an important part in the guy's relationship so it is up to you what you want to do.

Probably because he doesn't truly likes you, he is shallow, probably, but if you know his as much as you sad, the you shouldn't listen to anyone but yourself. actuallym that is exactly right. imagine falling in love with someone and they are great and will do anything for you but are terrible in bed. if they cant please you or you them, there is a good chanc it will be over. but putting it in the terms test drive is terrible. he needs to have more respect for you. im not saying go sleep with him now, do wait until you are in a relationship. let him know when you are ready
