Can a puppy of 12 weeks have lymphona?

The vet said today that her pup may have lymphoma. He is only 12 weeks old. She is to go in on Sat to have a test done as the pup was too ill today and had to be injected with antibiotics. Does this sound right?

If it does can someone please give me some info on it please.

Thank you.

Although Lymphoma is more common in middle aged to older dogs, you cannot rule out puppies having this disease.

Here is a helpful link with plenty of information on Lymphoma:

Lymphoma is a disease that affects middle-aged to older dogs. A complete blood work needs to be done - dogs with lymphoma have an elevated serum calcium. They can also suffer from shortness of breath or skin nodules. If the intestines are involved, they'll be vomiting and have diarrhea.

Chest and abdominal x-rays and ultrasounds are usually done to check for enlarged lymph nodes, organs and masses.

If lymphoma is in a single lymph node, surgical removal may be the way to go.

Anything's possible, but hopefully the tests will show your vet's guess is wrong, and there's something much less serious wrong with your puppy. I hope he'll be ok!
