    Because if not he will demand several recounts and try to discount the military vote.

    The basis for awarding the Nobel Peace Prize is the "best work for fraternity between the nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses". If Al Gore has achieved those goals more effectively than anyone else alive, then he should win the Nobel Peace Prize. Otherwise, a Nobel Feel Good About Political Correctness Passed Off As Science Prize should be established and awarded to Al Gore.

    The Nobel committee looks at nominations very carefully. They don't just give them to anybody. Apparently, if he does get the Nobel Prize they feel he deserved it. So it really doesn't matter what you, or I or anyone else thinks.
