In Christianity women are of the least importance. Just look what they did to the Goddess!

first of all, the bible was completed between 95-100 ad, the catholic church was founded in 300 a.d. the canon of the bible [contents] was complete the moment the last letter of the last book was completed. there is certain criteria that must be met to be scripture..

    1. divine inspiration

and we'll skip the others because without divine inspiration it would be futile to include the kind of writings ur talking about into the bible

now someone may bring up the apocrypha, ok let me answer that one, those books of the apocrypha were mingled with scripture by the roman catholic church, if you look at the 1611 edition of the kjv yes its included in the bible, BETWEEN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS, not mixed in them, it was done this way because though apocrypha has historical significance, but they in no are considered scripture.

Very important. But the Council of Nicea voted to exclude them from the Bible because they argued they were not authentic and branded them heresies. They then ordered all copies destroyed, and it was believed all were destroyed until one of them was found in Greece in th 1896 and the other Gnostic Gospels (or fragments of them) were found at Nag Hammadi in 1945.

Why they were left out is now open to some debate, though once you read them, it is clear that in some cases it shows the importance of women to early Christianity was much stronger than we thought and the bishops didn;t go for that all, believing only men could be priests. Also, Gnosticism in general was seen as threat to the authority of the bishops in spiritual matters, which also would not be tolerated.

The Catholic church chose not to include them...along with many many other gospels. All of which interestingly enough flow more to a personaly relationship with God and away from the church. Heck the early Catholic church wouldn't even allow the public to read the gospels themselves...they had to only hear them in mass. It's a power and control thing.

they are very important and holy but since all the gospels are being said by Jesus's disciple that is why mother Mary and Mary Magdalen has not been in the gospel name

The gospels of Mary and Mary Magdaline are dated to around the 3rd and 4th centuries A.D. Mary and Mary Magdeline died in the 1st and maybe the early 2nd centuries A.D. Those writings are not written by whom they said they were written by. Therefore, they are false documents and are not to be included in the Bible.

"For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit ... it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

In other words, the Bible isn't a dead book, or just something that was written thousands of years ago and then forgotten. The Bible is God's Word, and it is just as relevant and life-changing today as it was when it first came into being. God gave it to us, and when His Spirit applies it to our hearts, God uses it to convict us of our sin and point us to His truth. The psalmist rightly said, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105).

Furthermore, the Bible is complete—because Christ's work for our salvation is complete. By His death and resurrection, Christ fully purchased our salvation. We don't need to look for another Savior; in Christ alone "are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3).

My prayer is that you will discover the Bible for yourself—and not only the Bible, but also the One who is at its center: Jesus Christ. God's Word tells us everything we need to know for our salvation—and when we know Christ, our salvation is secure.

  • You can read fragments of the Mary Magdalene one online - it is *very* poor: disjointed and badly organised with some obviously non-christian ideas.

It is not that they would not be important, it is that they have not been deemed accurate books.

Just like the Davinci code, it is fiction, nothing more.

That does not mean that Christians are against women, we give our Blessed Mother the highest honor a person can get. (But we don't worship her)

    Peace be with you!
