New Job Opportunity... Any Ideas???

I have been given the opportunity to take on some additional responsibility at work. The job would entail longer hours, additional management of more employees, and the possibility of further scruntiny if not done properly. It would afford me a larger paycheck depending on success. However, it could possibly backfire miserably. What do you think I should do?

It all depends on you. how do you see your self there ?

There are some people who are very much into their careers. They have more responsibilities, more things to do and follow up than anyone else, and off course, a HUGE paycheck...

but on the other hand, there are people who's priority is not work, and their priority is friends and family.

What is your priority in life ?? if it was your work, or at least was very VERY important to you.. just go for it. If not, stay with your priority. Nothing can ever make you happier

If you want to keep moving forward, take the opportunity. I actually just went through the same exact thing, and it backfired. The experience I got from it was worth it. I am now able to take the skills I learned and apply them to a new job. Just try the best that you can and remember it is okay to ask for help. Or think about it this way, do you want to stay in the same position that you are in for a long time?

  • The path to success easy it is not.

Risks you must take , Rewards you will reap.

You have to go for it....if you don't move on then you stagnate....management will notice an unwillingness to stretch yourself as much as they notice failure at increased responsibility.

I'd say go for it. You canm't make it big unless you try.

Take it. If you don't, you're doomed to stay where you are.
