Would you have a few drinks tonight?

My hubby and I have been ttc for quite sometime now and due my period in 9 days, this month we feel quite confident. Anyway we have been invited to a party tonight and I would like to let my hair down and have a few drinks but obviously wouldnt if I knew for definate if I am pregnant, but at the same time I cant help thinking that if im not pregnant then I would have given up on the oppertunity of a very rare good night out. What would you do?

DON'T RISK IT - IT'S NOT WORTH IT! There'll be other nights but there might not be other babies - none of us know what the fututre has in store for us - it's all down to fate. Give your possible baby every chance or you might regret it. Good luck - really hope everything works out for you! xx

A baby develops rapidly during the first weeks of pregnancy, even before the mother-to-be knows that she's expecting. Some research shows that even a moderate level of alcohol can increase the chance of a miscarriage.

Experts haven't yet defined a safe level of alcohol for women who are pregnant nor do they know whether or how babies differ in their sensitivity and reaction to alcohol. But because the harmful effects of alcohol during pregnancy are well known, women trying to conceive and those already pregnant should probably play it safe and avoid all alcoholic beverages.

If you're trying to get pregnant, it's most important that you don't drink during the second half of your cycle, after you've ovulated, because that's when you might be pregnant. If you get your period, it's okay to have a couple of glasses of wine during the first half of your cycle while you're waiting to ovulate again.

Step a million drink some water, a pair of pint or so. do not over do it or you will harm your self. Step 2 while in mattress in case you head spins shop one foot on the floor, its constantly worked for me Step 3 reckoning on the quantity you have had to drink and whenyour final drink became PUKE. gets rid of alcohol from abdomen. determine you drink abit of water after although or you would be dehydrated. Step 4 sleep!

What I would do? Well, honestly if I had the least suspicion that I could be pregnant, I won't be even considering having a drink....................but that's just me. And besides, what does having a drink have to do with having fun? I am sure you will have just as much fun without.

Good luck and I am keeping my fingers crossed for that BFP.

    Take care

Surely you can have a good night out without drinking?

I wouldn't risk it myself! You'd be please long term and think of the party you can have when you have a baby!! Trust your intuition - the fact that you've even asked the question indicates that you have a a feeling you shouldn't drink!

Good Luck and enjoy the party!

i would go but drink in moderation there is no evidence that drinking in moderaton while pregnant will harm the baby,i am in the same situation and i onli drink in moderation occasionally.but its all up to you and what you prefer to do.if you dont want to risk it im sure you could go out and not drink im sure you would still have a good time.have a good time anyway and good luck, hope you get what you want.x

You can always drink at another time, but you can't turn things back when you're hurting your child if you're pregnant.

I think if you kept it to a few drinks and didn't get carried away then it'll be ok.
