Can someone give me and my friend some info on the Titanic?

there are lots of great books with untold stories of the titanic....there is a museum exhibit w/the smithsonian that is also great and it may be good to contact them and they might send you some free literature.....but, look up the books and then try to check them out at the library....you've chosen an excellent topic and i'm sure you will be amazed at all the stories you read.....i have a great book (can't find it this second or i'd give you the title) that has great, detailed stories from survivors. have you seen the film w/leo ? that would be worth watching if you haven't. there are also other films as well. the percentages of survivors is surprisingly low for the poor people on the ship.

also, when the carpathia came to pick up the survivors in the lifeboats, many people were scared to get on it b/c it looked so much like the titanic....
