No, because they sure don't do a very good job at it.

Sanchez, who led U.S. forces in Iraq for a year after the March 2003 invasion, accused the Bush administration Friday of going to war with a "catastrophically flawed" plan and said the United States is "living a nightmare with no end in sight."

Sanchez described the current troop increase in Iraq as "a desperate attempt by the administration that has not accepted the political and economic realities of this war."

what makes anyone think they are policing the world? I mean to police is to enforce the laws. trouble is law enforcement is not why the us and allies go to war, it is to build empire, to acquisition resources and gain control over the whole world to satisfy the lusts of a few men who have no concern for right or wrong or justice. It is about profit and power pure and simple.

I love how people say that the US should not be the world's police officer but I notice that the US is the first to be called when someone wants a cop.

they WE should be we have such a good time here and then when it gets nutz the PO PO come so it is great here....and we can all worship who the heck we want and noone cares.....live and let live USA is still the greatest free society ever and ever again....we can all do whatever we want we just obey laws that benefit everyone and look out....worship whoever Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Ahkmend. Common now there are drive by shootings There are kids taking the family coke or pot to school . Recently I heard about kids owning guns that mommies bought for them. I can not believe all the crime going on and I feel like most people get away with what ever they have done.

We should not be policing the world if we can't pull off disaster relief, if we have hungry people at home, if masses are loosing their home to forecloses, if we have an idiot for a president, etc... We should not be policing the world.

They're use of excessive force is not appropriate and torture would become a consistent event. And us of depleted Uranium munitions would become a threat soo harmful, that not really anyone would fight, unless they were prepared to die for what freedoms, they were about to lose. For some unjust cause. Unjust cuz money is no excuse for murder, or removal of liberty in any way shape or form.

Because we have enough problems here at home. We need to mind our own business and let other countries actually do their own thing. Now if we can just elect a president that thinks this way MAYBE things would be better.
