I have to sort out a stag do for about 30 fellas for Dublin in March. Any Ideas?

Never done this before, is there anyway to go onto sites that compare hotels or anything like that.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Update:

Cant do the Dam, thats where the girls are going!!!!

First, don't let anywhere you are going know that it is for a stag party. Make up a different reason if they ask, anything.

Second, If you are planning on going to a nightclub...book ahead of time because the bouncers are *ssholes and probably won't let you all in.

Third, accomodation really depends on where you are looking. Do you want it in the city centre close to the clubs? or a little further out? I don't think there are any sites for comparison but if you decide on which part of Dublin you want to go to it should make it easier

    Yeah, gidday, Peter.

I'm sorry I can't help you with the stag do, but here's an idea to go with the wedding reception.

Between now and the wedding collect old door keys.

In the week before the wedding, hand these out to all the single men (and maybe the odd married man) and a girl, all of whom you know will be at the reception. You'll need about a dozen of them.

During the course of the speeches, you get the MC to ask that all the boyfriends of the bride now bring up the door keys that she's given to them, as, now that she is married, they won't be needing them anymore.

It works a treat, especially if the last person up to return a key is a girlfriend of the brides.

I did this at my daughter's wedding 8 years ago, and the town is still giggling over it.

If I was organising a stag do it wouldn't be for Dublin as you will find it nearly impossible to get into the bars unless you all go around in groups of 2.

I would recommend Amsterdam as the ideal place to go on a stag do!

Hi, I love Dublin, i went with my friends last November and then again in April, and i have booked to go in January, the nightlife is great as is the sights. I have got flights from Manchester with Ryanair they have cost me £20.00 return, because i booked far in advance. I got an apartment just off O'Connell St so it is right in the heart of everything through Hotel Finder we are only going overnight and it has cost 4 adults £21.75 each. There are a lot of apartments now in Dublin. I have also stayed in Wynn's Hotel it was 98euros for 2 nights B&B, this hotel is just off O'Connell St.

Temple Bar is the place for Stag and Hen nights, apparently. For accommodation, try www.hostelworld.com. Not sure if they'll take a block booking for 30 blokes over on a stag weekend, but I imagine it depends from place to place.

A great number of pubs, hotels and restaurants in Dublin will not let stag groups in - as long as you know that.

you would need to be careful about dublin for a stag with so many of u going it would be had for u all to get into clubs and pubs together .
