Pc cant read Iomega 250 mb usb powered zip drive. Disk stucked in drive cannot be extracted out, any solution?

I am using windows vista.

Update:

How can I retrieve data stored in those Iomega disks if I cant use the drive to read or capture data.

    Hi,

    if you look on the front there is a small hole just push a safety pin into it and this should free the disk, I would also dump the thing it's just to old now so backup and throw it in the bin and use a "Pen Drive" instead. hope this helps you.

    Vista is the biggest piece of nonsense so far released by Ms. Worse than the Millennium version of their OS. Vista is a 32/64 bit OS and zip drives were introduced in the 16 bit era so it probably incompatible. But anyway,release the disc by pricking the hole at the front of the drive. You've probably damaged or miss-aligned the read head or the motor drive unit or both in the process of putting the disc in so, as with other comments, dump it and buy a high speed dvd re-writer or an external USB hard drive unit as big as you can afford.

    Get rid of it! Zip drives are notorious for destroying data.
