Ohio peace officer certification?

I am intristed in getting into the security officer field and would like to find a school (cincinnati area would be nice) to get my certification that does not require extra math classes etc.

I have no intrist in becoming a police officer.

Thanks!

Update:

I know many security companies provide otj training but one company that I currently work for (doing a diffrent job) requires you to already have it or be in school for it before hiring.

That will give you the very specific information about security officer requirements in Ohio.

You don't have to get Ohio Peace Officer certification and it wouldn't do you any good if you don't want to be a police officer.

Starting with any security company will give you a leg up on getting a security certification.

Look for a community college that has a criminal justice program. That is step 2. Step 1 is to find out from the appropriate State agency just what the requirements are for certification.
